We live in Florida, and we just laid a Floratam sod in our front yard about four weeks ago. Everything is going fine, but I’m noticing few weeds here and there. We did apply herbicide a few weeks before laying the sods. My questions are would it be alright to apply a weed killer on my our new lawn? What kind of weed killer is best for a new lawn? A granule or a hose-end bottle sprayer? Should I apply a weed and feed? But I am worried since it is still too early to apply some kind of fertilizer.
